5 of 5 Mitsubishi U62T install and performance December 6, 2023
Reviewer: Clint Southard
"Hi Gina, I finished my rear LSD differential install from Traction Concepts and I've put about 10 miles on it and so far I'm very impressed. I can't believe what a difference it has made! I barely could go anywhere in 2wd before. The install is pretty straight forward but did require some minor grinding of both my spider and axle gears to make it fit. That is not uncommon and is mentioned in the installation procedure. I found using a belt sander was the easiest method (NOTE: blowout all the sawdust on the sander or the sparks will set it on fire) as all I had to remove was about .020 total on the spiders and about .005 on the axle gears. All in all the project went off without a hitch and their tech support was there to answer immediately the few questions that I had. I may be exploring this as an option on my front differential as well!" Clint Dec 12, 2018

"I thought I'd share that after 18 month's (2 winter's) of hard use in my Mitsubishi U62T my Limited Slip Differential kit from Traction Concepts is holding up great! It definitely helps the traction in my opinion by at least 40-50%! Lot's of times I can drive around on hard packed snowmobile trails in 2wd now.
I've changed the gear oil twice and each time I've drained the oil through a magnet to see if I was getting any unusual wear. So far not even a hint of metal fillings!
I would definitely recommend them for sure!"

3 of 5 Directions aren’t universal. no phone number February 17, 2023
Reviewer: Laura Schmid-Tyler from Cumberland, WI United States
After I finally got it installed it work’s awesome! Had to mill down both sets of gears in order to get the piece to fit in the carrier. It would have been nice if there were a customer service number to call and ask someone a simple question since it was a week day and during normal business hrs. Or if the directions would have said this as well.
"Thank you for your comment." No, our LSD Conversions are "Custom" and it's not a one size fits all diffs product. While the install guide is a Basic Guide for installation into your diff type, we're happy that you were able to get the jest of it as a DIY-er which is what we like. Our techs are always on standby to assist with tech support, even on weekends and most holidays, since our users have this time to do their car projects.

5 of 5 2010 Mitsubishi Mini Truck U62T Extended Cab February 17, 2019
Reviewer: matt petersen from Montezuma, IA United States
got it installed now my truck will basically go anywhere, it was pretty worthless before the diff lock was installed and now is unstoppable.  I use my mini truck to plow snow and have been stuck lots of times and now we had way more snow than before and no prolems at all pushing it out of the way.  I do have a slight howl that comes now when I reach 50 mph but don't often get to that speed so no big deal at all, I'll take the traction any day!!!
