This custom LSD Conversion is designed for the OEM Q50 rear 38500-AR61A differential carrier, including Sport, Red Sport, Red Sport 400, Luxe, 2.0, and V6/3.0 models.
  • Select our Q50 Rear Limited Slip Conversion alone to do the "Gear Prep" step on your end, or choose our Q50 Rear LSD Conversion plus Q50 OEM Gears Set "4 Internal OEM differential axle and spider gears" for an easy plug-and-play install. (If this option is available, it will show in the drop-down selection.)
There is an option to return your OEM Gears for a Core Gear reimbursement. You must purchase the LSD Conversion plus Gear Set option and request your RMA# for the Core Gear return. This is only available for 14 days after your delivery. The amount of the Core Gear reimbursement depends on market value at the time of the order.
This Q50 Rear LSD Conversion Kit is for the new generation Infiniti Q50 2013-present rear open diff and also the Infiniti Q60 2016+ rear open differential AWD/RWD 7-Speed transmissions. Including Jatco: JR710E/JR711E & Nissan RE7R01A/RE7R01B (See extended info for more installation tips)

This is not the same R190 Rear as found in the earlier classic Datsun/Nissan R190 differentials and this Q50/Q60 LSD Conversion Kit will not work on one of those R190 differentials.

Would prefer better guidance on estimates of material to ground from existing gears.  Obviously the amount is known because one can order pre-groind gears.  So, it must nit be unique within each brand of 3rd member.  Would save buyers time to gring and re-fit.

Not all installations, even into the Q50 differentials, will be the same, nor will the amount to remove during gear prep. This is why we offer the option to purchase the LSD Conversion plus the Gear Set to ensure the set-up is where it needs to be. The LSD Conversion and Gear Set are blue-printed together and can not be sold separately.
When installing without the gears, you are customizing the LSD Conversion to YOUR Q50 differential and matching to your Q50 gears. The amount to leave the clearance tolerances before releasing the Conversion is on the Installation page, and in your Basic Install Guide, which includes article links with even more information. There are articles for the Q50 in our product's "Extended Information" and our Blog with Q50 torque specs, tech tips, and more. I'm loving the confidence I'm feeling from launching and fast and tight turns. Previously I was thinking my tires were the main issue. I have Firestone Firehawk AS. After installing, I have yet to brake traction with the same tires. Unless I wanted to.

Before - Launches were terrible from the 1 wheel peel. Couldn't do a donut or get the car sideways. -(Fun stuff). When I would do a fast tight turn the car would correct itself and quickly straighten out. Super scary honestly.

After, all of these issues were resolved. Although I haven't putt it to the test, I have not broken traction with traction control on during daily spirited driving where as to before it was a daily occurrence to where I would lose traction due to the open diff. Now it's is very predictable and I need to find out how hard I can push it before it wants to lose traction.

Honestly, I couldn't be happier. NOW the car handles like it's supposed to. Feels like it's on rails. Can't give enough praise.

The TC LSD kit is a MUST for any Q50 owners (yes even AWD ones). It's a shame Infiniti left an open diff from factory when these cars can produce a lot of torque and power with little work. I bought a 2021 Q50 RS (RWD) and ended up buying this kit within 3 months of ownership. The OEM open diff kills the fun especially if you're trying to put the power down.  I did my homework regarding the install of this kit and if you are some what mechanically inclined it's a fairly simple and straight forward install. Gina from Traction Concepts was amazing and always there to help if needed. The kit has cut down my wheel spin by a ton, made it much more enjoyable to go through corners and exit aggressively,  and overall made the car more enjoyable. This is a must have for Q50s if you really want to enjoy it. Highly recommended!!

Installed the LSD Kit of Traction Concept on my Q50RS RHD. Works a treat ! My car is tuned with LDP, complete exhaust and produces 500bhp and 575nm torque. With only RWD it was really hard to get of the line (even with light weight alloys wheels and rear 265 tyres Michelin Pilot Sports) i always use to correct it and you can feel the chassis is taking the pressure as axle is loosing traction. After installing the lsd now it is a big improvement in start of the line but the main difference is on cornering. You can turn and immediately accelerate and the lsd will take care of everything. It is a must have if you have tuned your car and wants to not worry about loosing the traction.
